The aim of this project is to use digital logic circuits to implement an electronic voting system, designed for elections where a preference is entered for each candidate. It consists of a custom number of voting points ("units") from where voting takes place, and a server which collects the vote data for later use. Although the design doesn't rely on how many units are linked together, there is a practical limit as will be explained later.
This first year project scored full marks. IMPORTANT : I have received several emails from Indian students lately - it would seem that electronic voting machines are a popular project over there! However, this project was only ever intended as a simulation exercise and is propably impractical to implement physically. I can answer questions about my simulation based project as described here, but unfortunately I cannot answer emails regarding any other form of voting machine project. |
